Study Information Day Swiss School Rome | 22/12/2023
“If you don’t know which path you want to take, talk to people who have more information than you.” With these words, Prorektor Oliver Gywat introduced what is now an established yearly Swiss School tradition – a university study orientation day – before the Christmas holidays for pupils from the 3rd, 4th and 5th liceo.
Eight former students of the Swiss School of Rome described their personal experiences during their studies in architecture, medicine, film studies, biomedicine, international relations, psychology and law and answered the numerous questions of our students, with special attention from our 5th year high school students (seniors). This year, not only did they gain insights into Swiss universities, such as Geneva, Zurich and the Università della Svizzera Italiana, but also into the University of Siena and three Roman universities, namely La Sapienza, Tor Vergata and Roma Tre, the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome, as well as the dual programme “Global Media and Communications” at the London School of Economics and Fudan University. Interesting insights into professional life immediately after graduation were also provided, as well as one or two insider tips for those interested. Our students were then sent off on their well-deserved Christmas holidays in the afternoon with a colourful bouquet of suggestions and insights into the world of study. Perhaps a future choice of study was made even more concrete on this day.
The entire SSRoma team would like to thank our former students for taking part in this event – and we are proud of you!
